PREPARATION OF ATACTIC POLYPROPYLENE ELASTOMERS WITH A Cp*TiCl2N[Si(CH3)3]2/MAO CATALYST
A catalyst system Cp*TiCl2N[Si(CH3)3]2/methylalmninoxane(MAO)has been used for atactic polymerization of propylene.The polymerization performed in a l L autoclave at 0℃~50℃ with heptane as solvent.The atactic polypropylene has high molecular weight (Mw=20×104~60×104) with Tg=8.8℃.The polymers have high stereo irregularity and contain ether-soluble fractions over 94%.The effects of polymerization temperalure
concentration of MAO and pressure of monomer on the catalytic activity and molecular weight of the polymer were studied in detail. The structure and properties of the polymers were characterized by DSC
