A polymer-palladium complex prepared from palladium (Ⅱ) chloride and poly-γ-aminopropylsiloxane suported on fumed silica is very active for hydrogenation of olefins in proper solvents at 30℃ tinder an atmospheric hydrogen pressure. The rates of hydrogenation of olefins by the polymer complex are found to be markedly affected by the palladium content in the polymer complex.
