SYNTHESIS AND SORPTION PROPERTIES OF A NEW KIND OF POLYTHIOETHER TYPE COTTON FIBERS
A new kind of polythioether type cotton fibers was synthesized by the reaction of cotton with chloromethylthiirane. These fibers had a high adsorption percentage (≥99%) for the Au (Ⅲ) and Pd (Ⅱ) in low concentration (0.1 mg/ml) and moderate sorption capacity for Ag ( I )
Au( Ⅲ) and Pd(Ⅱ)
but rather low for Pt( IV ) . They adsorbed Cu( Ⅱ )
Zn( Ⅱ ) and Pb (Ⅱ) hardly. In the mixture of Au(Ⅲ )-Pd( Ⅱ)-Pt( IV )only Au( Ⅱ ) and Pd(Ⅱ ) were adsorbed.
