With the addition of a thermotropic liquid crystalline polymer (TLCP)
PHB/PET (60/ 40)
glass fiber/polypropylene was melt blended and extruded. The decrease of apparent viscosity of melts
the preferred orientation of glass fibers in polypropylene matrix and the enhanced tensile properties of extrudates indicate that processability
structure and properties of glass fiber reinforced polypropylene have been improved by the matched TLCP.
