Natural rubber (NR) degraded under high temperature and powerful shear force was in situ grafted onto the carbon black (CB) surface. The grafted carbon black (GCB) not only accelerates the vulcanization of NR composite
but also enhances the mechanical properties of vulcanized NR such as the tensile strength and the tear strength. The results of dynamical mechanical properties showed low degrees of CB aggregation in GCB filled NR system because of the better dispersion of GCB and the increased interaction between GCB and NR matrix.
