Co-and terpolymerization of propylene ethylene and butene-1 with highly efficient supported Ziegler -Natta catalysts were investigated.The polymerization activities depended not only on the reaction temperatured
catalyst concentration and the molar ratio of Al/Ti
[DDS]/[TEA] but also on the monomer's composition It was found that the optimum conditions for the polymerization activities were T=50℃
[Ti]=0.1 mM
Al/Ti= 100
[DDS]/[TEA]=0.1; the activities of propylene with ethylene and butene-1(P-E-B)terpolymerization were higher than those of propylene-ethylene(P-E)or propylene-butene-1(P-B)copolymerization under the same conditions.Effects of the monomer composition on the physical properties of co-and terpolymers were also described.With increasing the concentration of the comonomers
the contents of both ethylene and butene-1 in P-E-B terpolymers as well as P-E
P-B copolymers increased;but the intrinsic viscosity (ηin)
density
melting point and crystallinity of the ptoducts dectrased.Finally
the microstructures of co- and terpolymers were examined by 13C-NMR spectra
which indicated the existence of long propylene chain sequence in the co- and terpolymers.
