Abstract The phosphomolybdic acid/polyvinylpyrrolidone (PMA/PVP) nanocomposite films doped with sodiumbentonite (Na-MMT) were been prepared.The structure
thermal stability and photochromic behavior of these composite films were studied with TEM
AFM
FTIR
TG-DTA UV-Vis and XPS analysis.FTIR results showed the Keggin geometry of PMA and the structure of PVP were still preserved in the PMA/PVP composite films
and the salts were formed by combination of the ions based on the N atoms in the polymeric molecules and H+ of the polyanions.The doping of Na-MMT had no influence on the effect of PVP and PMA
but enhanced the thermal stability.Irradiated with UV light
the composite film changed from colorless to blue
heteropolyacid had been deoxidized to heteropolybules.The doping of Na-MMT debased the photochromic response of PMA/PVP hybrid films owing to the exchange of ions between PMA and Na-MMT.
