KINETICS OF BUTADIENE POLYMERIZATION WITH MOLYBDENUM CATALYST SYSTEM Ⅰ. THE POLYMERIZATION RATE AND KINETIC PARAMETERS
A kinetic study on the polymerization of butadiene with MoCl4OC8H17-(i-Bu)2AlO-as catalyst has been carried out. The factors influencing the polymerizationrate was researched. Some of kinetic parameters such as the efficiency of catalyst
the concentration of active center and its average life period
were determined.It was found that the polymerization rate is first order with respect to the concentration of both monomer and Mo catalyst. The apparent activation energy for the polymerization is 17.1 Kcal/mole
and the efficienyc of catolyst was found to be about 4%. The average life period of active center is a function of activation energy and poly-merization temperature
