2) and NdCl3 · HOAr (HOAr =combined with aluminium alkyls are highly active for butadiene polymerization.In C6H5 ONdCl2 · nTHF-AlR3 system the activities increase with the increase in the coordination number of THF. In NdCl3 · HOAr-AlR3 the polymerization activities of variousphenols are in the following order:The polymerization rate is the first order with respect to the monomer concentration in C6H5ONdCl2 · 2THF-Ali-Bu2H. The plot of the conversion vs polymerization time is linear. The [n] of polymer decreases with the increase in the conversion of butadiene.
