A detailed research on poly(AA-b-DXL) networks as a continued paper was reported here. The copolymer networks poly(AA-b-DXL) as a combined two hydrophilic parts of PDXL and PAA
not only possess the pH sensitivity
but also can swell in both water and organic solvents. The effects on the swelling behavior of hydrophilic poly(AA-b-DXL) networks were deeply reported. The results showed that the solubility parameters of solvents and constituents of the networks have a great influence on the swelling behavior of poly(AA-b-DXL) networks. It means that the networks can reach high swelling degree when the solubility parameter of the solvent is close to either that of the PDXL segments or that of the PAA segments.A micro-phase separation structure was observed and explained.By SEM analysis
the microphase conformation can be clearly observed. No obvious microphase separation was observed when the PDXL content is much higher than that of the PAA.With increase of PAA content in the network to 50 wt%
