The polymerization kinetics of sodium p-styrenesulfonate (SSS) in aqueous solution has been studied with dilatometer method
the polymerization rate equation was determined.and the polymerization active energy was measured.At the same time
the behavior of the copolymerization between SSS and aerylamide (AM) have also been studied
the composition of the copolymer was determined using the complex reaction conductometric titration method which was founded previously by us through complex reaction of anionic polyelectrolyte with a surfactant cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB).And the reactivity ratios of SSS and AM were determined.The results show that the polymerization rate equation for SSS is i>Rp=k[M]1.0[I]0.53
which displays that the chain termination reaction is according to the bimolecular termination mode
and the inititate process is independent of monomer concentration
andthe apparent polymerization active energy is 84.97 kJ·mol-1.The reactivity ratios of SSS and AM was calculated by using the Kelen-Tudos method
and they afe rsss=0.27 and rAM=2.21 respectively. Furthermom
