Solid-state shear compounding technology(S5C) based on pan-milling is an effective method to prepare polymedgraphite electrical conductive composites with nano intercalating structure.The graphite nanosheets may touch each other to form a conductive network
and the intercalating graphite layers with nano scale gaps may induce tunnel current.therefore the percolation threshold value of the composites decreases remarkably
and their electfical conductivities increase quite a lot at low graphite loading levels.Compared with the PP/graphite composite prepared via conventional melt mixing
the percolation threshold of the PP/YEP250 nanocomposites prepared via S3C decreases from 4.3 vol% to 0.55 vol%
and their conductivity is in 10 magnitudes of order higher than that of conventional PP/graphite composites at a graphite content of 4.01 vol%.
