A fluorinated polypyrrolone (Pry) derived from a new aromatic tetraamlne

which was synthesized by the Chiehibabin’sreaction
and the aromatic dianhydride ODPA by a two-step polyeondensation procedure was synthesized and characterized The flexible and tough films prepared by casting from the precursor solutions PAAA.followed by thermal dehydrating
showed good thermal stability with thermal decomposition temperature of 544℃
10% weight loss temperature of 591℃
glass transition temperature of 318℃ and weight retention ratio of 68% at 720℃.The PPy films exhibited exceflent alkaline-aqueous-repellent properties and retained most of the properties even after boiling in 10% NaOH solutions for seven days
which made it a good candidate for protecting coating applications.
