A new kind of functional cellulose fibre grafted β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) with epichlorohydrin was synthesized in alkaline solution．The fibre not only kept the original characterization of β-CD to form inclusion complexes

Cd2+) were investigated and the enrichment contents of fiber for the above-mentioned metal ions were 0.25
