A kind of pseudopolyrotaxanes was prepared by supramolecular self-assembly of poly (4-vinyl-N-n-butylpyfidinium bromide) (P4VBuBr2) with cucurbituril[6] (CB[6]) in water at room temperature.The chemical structure of pseudopolyrotaxanes was confirmed by 1H-NMR
IR spectras and elemental analysis:CB[6] beads are localized aliphatic chain in side-chain of 2
and combine N+ by non-covalent bonds.Molar ratio of CB[6] to the repeat unit of 2 is 0.28:1
0.2:1 and 0.1:1.The properties of these pseudopolyrotaxanes were studied by thermogravimetry analysis(TGA)
UV-Vis
X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) measurements and adding NaBr to the solution of the pesedupolyrotaxanes.The results show that pseudopolyrotaxanes have hisher thermal stability
stronger absorption band and higher crystallizability than the parent polymers.The thermal decomposition temperature of posudopelyrotaxanes increases with increasing the amount of CB[6] threaded on the polymer.NaBr is a good precipitating agent for the pesudopolyrotaxanes.
