Poly(N-[5-(8-hydroxyquinoline)methyl]aniline)/Meso-V2O5 (PNQA/Meso-V2O5) hybrid materials were synthesized by intercalative polymerization method.The results show that the interlayer spacing of the Meso-V2O5 has increased from 2.40 nm to 2.81 nm
while the lamellar of V2O5 is preserved.The electrical conductivity of the hybrid materials is by 3 orders of magnitude higher than that of the Meso-V2O5. The photoluminescence analysis indicates that the emission band of the hybrid is blue shifted 22 nm in comparison with that of pure PNQA
and the hybrid gives a quantum yield of 26%
which is higher than that (10%) of PNQA in ethanol.
