A series of different molecular weight poly(L Lactide)s containing glucosamine derivative end group were synthesized by bulk ring opening polymerization of LLA with glucosamine derivative and SnOct 2 as initiator system. The chemical structure was confirmed by 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR. The result from GPC showed that there was only one kind of initiation reaction involved the polymerization
which resulted in the formation of PLLA containing glucosamine derivative end group.
