Supernucleophilic polyamides as polymeric catalysts were prepared by means of syntheses and polymerization of several reactive monomers
such as dihydric acylchlorides and diols containing alkylaminopyridine groups
using 4-aminopyridine.Acetylation of tert-butanol was carried out in the presence of the polyamides.Results revealed that catalytic activity of the linear polyamides is higher than that of 4-(N
N-dimethylamino)pyridine (DMAP).However
the crosslinked resins are somewhat less effective than the linear analogues.
