Thermosensitive magnetic microspheres were characterized by infrared absorption spectrum (IR)
scanning electron microscope
atomic absorption sepectrometry
differential scanning calorimetry (DSC)
laser diffraction particle analyzer etc.The results indicate the size of microspheres was Gaussian distribution
N-isopropylacrylamide(NIPAM) could copolymerized with styrene (St)
and the glass transition temperature (Tg) of copolymers increased with increasing amout of NIPAM.The content of Fe3O4 was about20~100mg/g in the microspheres
which showed strongly magnetic response.The hydrodynamic size of thermosensitive magnetic microspheres was dependent on temperature and shrank about 10~20% above the lower criticle solution temperature(LCST) in water.
