methyl acrylate was initiated at lower temperature using ethyl α bromobutyrate as an initiator and CuBr/2

2' bipyridine as a catalyst.MMA could undergo living free radical polymerization at 20℃.The “living” characteristics of the polymerization were studied.LowMw/Mn of the polymers (1.15～1.45) was obtained.The kinetic data of the three systems were calculated and the factors affecting the “living” characteristic of the polymerization were studied.Low Mw/Mn of the polymers (1.15～1.45) was obtained.The kinetic data of the three systems were calculayted and the factors affecting the "living" characteristic of the polymerization were discussed.
