Poly[bis(glycine ethyl ester)phosphazene] was blended with polyanhydride (PSA or PSTP) in various ratios using solvent-mixing technique. The compatibility of these blends was evaluated by DSC and contrast microscopy method. The results showed that PGP was partially compatible with PSTP.In vitro degradation experiment was conducted in distilled water at 37℃.The degradation behavior of PGP/PSTP blends exhibited homogenious.Furthermore
the degradation rate was much faster than that of PGP and could be regulated by adjusting PSTP content due to the catalyze effect of acidic products of PSTP.PGP/PSTP blends could be a series of potential biomaterials for drug controlled release.
