A group of Poly(N-iso-propylacrylamide-co-acrylamide) with different component ratio have been prepared in this work.The change of the fluorescence spectrum of probes dissolved in the copolymer solution in water was studied with increase of temperature.The results indicated that the lower critical solution temperature (LCST) depends on the component ratio of the copolymers. The higher contents of AM in copolymers
the higher LCST was observed.By comparison of the two methods of using fluorescent probes—labeled on copolymer backbones and dissolved in aqueous solutions
it was found that the labeled probe method exhibits higher sensitivity and is more suitable for the study of the phase transition of polymer solutions.
