Thermal stimulated current/relaxation map analysis (TSC/RMA) is applied to study 2′-thiazole-4-(N
N-dimethyl)amino azobenzene/polycarbonate (TDAA/PC) system in an attempt to understand the influence of the dye doping content on the glass transition of the system.When the doping level increases to 4% (weight percent)
the low temperature tail of glass transition extends to 95℃ and the temperature range of glass transition increases to 35℃.The observation of the cooperative relaxation in a quite wide temperatue range indicates that the dipolar relaxation of the dye is principally controlled by the glass transition at temperature tens degrees below Tg.
