the processes and kinetics of the thermal degradation of nylon 1010 in N
or air have been studied. The effects of the atmosphereson the process
degradational temperatures
degrees of degradation
kinetics of reaction and the difference of the reactive mechanism have been analysed. It has beenfound that the process of the thermal degradation in N2 is one step reaction
butthe oxidative degradation in air is composed of multiple small steps. The temperatures
degrees of degradation in N2 are higher than those of in air. The apparent degradation reaction orders of are 1.0 and 1.1 in N2 and air respectively.
