Acid-base interactions of the surface of MMA-natual rubber graft polymers in some liquids were studied by detecting the adhesion work and it's dispersion components. To the systems of the acidic liquid (phenol/tricresyl phosphate solution)-basic surface of graft polymers
acid-base interaction is present in interface. The contribution of adhesion work of this interaction
which did not take place in basic liquid (formamide)/graft polymer's systems
is increased with the increasing of the MMA content in this polymer. In addition
the adhesive strength of the joints of the graft polymer-glass substrate is also changed apparantly resulting from the difference of the acidic/basic property of the substrate obtained through surface treatment.
