N-Allylcarbazole has not been homopolymerized but copolymerind withmethyl methaCrylate at high temperature. The reactivity ratios of the tWomonomers in copolymerization at temperature range of 200 - 260 t has been es timated
and both r1 and r2 were less than unity at the tffoperature of 250 t.The average molecular weights of the resulting copolymers decreased with theincreasing temperature in copolymerizahon. The results obtained here showed thatboth propagation and degradation existed in the copolymerization system and sug-gested a possible radical proceeding for copolymerization of N-allylcarbazole with methyll methacrylate at high temperature.
