he correlation between the interphasial interaction and microstructure in sixpolyblend systems containing thermotropic liquid crystalline polymers (TLCP ) hasaam investigated by means of dynamic mechanical spectrometry and scanning electron microscopy. The large or small inward shift of loss peaks of ingredientsshows strong or weak interphasial interaction existing in these blends. The TLCPdispersion phase in corresponding samples has its morphology from spheric
through ellipsoidal and elongated
to fibrilar.These results indicate that no direct correlation exists between the interphasial interaction and fibril formation in incompatible polyblends containing TLCP.
