Photo-initiation behavior of N-(4-benzoylphenyl)maleindde (NBPMI)
combining with dimethyaminoethyl metharylate (DMAEMA) or its polymer P(DMAEMA) was studied. The photopolymerization rate equations and their overall activation energies were obtained as follows:Rp∝[NBPMI]0.48[DMAEMA]0.18 [MMA]0.82 Ea=26.8 kJ /mol Rp∝[P(NBPMI-DMAEMA)]0.32[MMA]0.92 Ea=21.7 kJ /mol Rp∝[NBPMI]0.38 [P(DMAEMA)]0.65[MMA]0.70 Ea=33.2 kJ /mol The polymeric photoinitiator system shows higher initiation ability than that of the monomericate one. The UV spectrum of P(MMA) initiated by the NBPMI-DMAEMA of MMA
