It has been recorded that the adduct of C60 with polyallylamine displayed the fluorescence emission at 386 nm and 683 nm with the exciting wavelength at 250 nm and 528nm
respectively
at room tempreture. C60 does not possess the fluorescence emission. Considering polyallylamine is an aliphatic primary amine
it adds easily to C60 via a single electron transfer process. The adduct of C60 with polyallylamine would lose the spherical symmetry of C60 and lead to the exhibition of fluorescence. In order to clarify this
we prepared additive products of C60 with low molecular weight amines including primary and secondary amines such as butylamine
dodecymine
octadecylamine and dibutylamine.The fluotescence enissions are recorded as expected.The concentrational self-queching effect
the flurescence life-time and the flurorescence quenching by TCNQ are also undertaken.
