Carboxylated polyether polyurethane ionomers based on poly(ethylene glycol)(PEG)

4' -diphenylmethane diisocyanate and 2
2' -bishydroxymethyl propionic acid were prepared. The ionomers were neutralized with diffirent metal ions.Besides the measurement of DSC and stress-strain curves
the ionic conductivity was calculated on the base of alternating current impedance measurement. The results indicated that the poly (ethylene glycol) polyether polyurethane ionomers containing carboxy groups had both high ionic conductivity and good mechanical property.The effects of different molecular weight of soft segment
weight ratio of hard segment and different sort of metal counter ious on the ionic conductivity were discussed.
