CEZAT) bearing 2-aminothiazol groups have been first synthesized by the reaction of polychloromethylthiirane (PCMT) or copolymer containing chloromethylthiirane and epichlorohydrin (PCMT-ECH) with 2-aminothiazol by using diethylenetriamine as the crosslinking agent. These resins chelate strongly with Ag(I )
An(Ⅲ) and Hg(Ⅱ)
moderately with Pt (Ⅳ) and Pd(Ⅱ)
as well as wealdy with Cu(Ⅱ)
Cd(Ⅱ)
Zn(Ⅱ)
Pb(Ⅱ)
Cr(Ⅲ)
Co(Ⅱ)
Bi(Ⅲ). C2AT has excellent absorption selectivity for An(Ⅲ) and Ag(I).The Ag(I) or Au (Ⅱ) adsprbed on C2AT resins can be easily and quantutatuvely eluted by 15% aqueous ammonia solution or 2% aqueous thiourea solution respectively.The adsorption mechanism of Pt (Ⅳ) adsorbed on C2AT resin was studied by XPS.
