Recently, polymer solar cells with a promising power conversion efficiency over 11% have been realized based on a non-fullerene electron-accepting material and a medium-bandgap conjugated polymer. This result indicates the sunny outlook for fullerene-free polymer solar cells.

A recent work reported a concise approach to various topologically-defined protein-poly(amino acid) conjugates by producing heterotelechelic poly(amino acid)s via a one-pot two-step polymerization that features in in situ generation of two different bioorthogonal functionalities. The method may provide a platform to libraries of protein-polymer conjugates with tremendous therapeutic values.
